Free pints offered at two local pubs tomorrow

The Red Lion Overton - Telegraph Ale

Two of our village’s pubs are serving-up free pints tomorrow.

The White Hart on London Road and The Red Lion on the High Street are offering free pints of ‘Telegraph Ale’ to customers.

It’s part of The Daily Telegraph’s ‘National Pub Day’ event’.

A spokesperson from the Daily Telegraph said, “An average of four pubs per day has announced their closure this year, robbing towns and villages of their community hubs.

“Many of Britain’s remaining pub owners now face a barrage of relief cuts, red tape and ruinous taxes.

“The Telegraph’s National Pub Day is a great opportunity to support this vital industry – and the people that depend on it”.

Telegraph Ale is a classic English bitter, made by Renegade Brewery based in Berkshire.

David Harber, Landlord at The Red Lion said, “It’s great to see the Daily Telegraph supporting the local pub trade and it’s always a delight to work with James, Matt and Dean at Renegade Brewery.

“We often stock their Good Old Boy and thank them and The Telegraph for their collaborative support of our local pub sector.  Telegraph Ale will be on tap as well as Abbot from Greene King and Spring Zing from Salisbury brewery Hopback”.

Telegraph Ale will be exclusively available in Overton at The White Hart and The Red Lion tomorrow (Saturday 16th May) while stocks last.
