Residents in parts of Overton remain without phone services after Openreach confirmed there is still no clear timeframe for repairs, according to Vodafone.
The issue is linked to ongoing electrical work in the village, which has disrupted local infrastructure and left some households without landline access for several days.
Phone lines first went down at around 3.45pm on Monday 11th May. Since then, services have remained off for some customers, despite earlier assurances from Openreach that the fault would be resolved within a set period.
Those promises have not been met, and Vodafone has now indicated that engineers are still unable to provide a firm restoration date.
The continued outage has caused frustration among residents, particularly those who rely on landlines for work, care needs, or limited mobile coverage in parts of the village.
Local residents have been working to track updates as the situation develops. Special thanks go to Stafford Trendall, a village resident who has helped keep Overton Radio informed throughout the disruption.
Further updates are expected once Openreach provides a revised schedule for repairs.
