Here’s a comprehensive guide to this year’s Carfest. Please note that all times are approximate.
Festival Schedule
- Monday 5th – Tuesday 20th August – the festival infrustructure will be built.
- Tuesday 20th – Thursday 22nd August – exhibitors and car companies will be arriving to build their stands, deliver cars, etc.
- Thursday 22nd August
- 2.00pm-8.00pm: Campervan and Motorhome campsite opens
- 4.00pm-8.00pm: Campsite opens for up to 8,500 BIG EARLY ticket holders
- There will be NO AMPLIFIED MUSIC
- Friday 23rd August
- 8.00am: Campsite and caravan site opens
- 11.00am: Car parks open for day visitors
- 12.00pm: Festival site opens
- 11.00pm: Festival site closes
- Saturday 24th August
- 9.00am: Car parks open for day visitors
- 10.00am: Festival site open
- approx. 5.00pm: Overton Car Parade with Sporting Bears
- 11.00pm: Festival closes
- Sunday 25th August
- 9.00am: Car parks open for day visitors
- 10.00am: Festival site open
- 10.30pm: Festival closes
- Monday 26th August
- 11.00am: Campsite closes
- 5.00pm: Exhibitor departures deadline
- Tuesday 27th August – Friday 6th September: Festival infrastructure will be removed.
Bin Collection
The C29 and Berrydown Lane bin collections will take place at 6am on Tuesday and North Waltham bins will be collected on Monday. Please make sure you put your bins out the evening before so as not to miss the collection.
Traffic News
- Public day visitor traffic from the M3, A34 and A303 will be directed up the C29 and will enter at gate A3, D1 or D2.
- All campervan and caravan ticket holders arriving from London via the M3 will arrive via Basingstoke on the B3400, arriving at the Berrydown Lane entrance Gate E to the site. Campervan and caravan ticket holders arriving from the North, South or West will approach on the A303, following event signage.
Temporary Speed Limits
A temporary speed limit of 30mph will be in place from Monday 12th August – Friday 30th August on the C29 and the South Litchfield road from 7.00am on Friday 23rd through to 1.00pm on Monday 26th August.
Pedestrian Access
- If you are wishing to walk to the event during daylight hours, please use the footpath from the junction of Pound Road and Winchester Street. This will be signposted and will take you to the day visitor entrance.
- On leaving the event, please head to the Caravan and Campervan campsite and then pick up signs for the footpath back to Overton, which will be illuminated when it’s dark. Please be considerate to local neighbours and keep noise to a minimum. Please give priority to visitors with young children and those less able to walk.
