It was a memorable Saturday for Overton United FC as both the first team and reserves clinched impressive victories.
At Bridge Street, the first team put on a dominant display, thrashing Romsey Town U23s 6-0 to secure their place in the next round of the North Hampshire Intermediate Cup. Leading the charge were Charlie Short, Ash Elward, and Alfie Clark, each scoring twice in a comprehensive attacking performance.
Meanwhile, at Berrydown, the reserves extended the club’s winning run with a convincing 4-1 victory over CK Andover. George Jones was the standout player, netting a hat-trick, while Louis McCann added a well-taken goal to seal the win.
With both teams in fine form, Overton United FC now looks ahead to the next fixtures. The first team will face Upham in a crucial league match next weekend, while the reserves prepare for an away trip to Rovers FC.
