Overton Harriers showcased their strength and depth at last Saturday’s cross-country race in Aldershot, fielding a robust team of 20 athletes – eight women and twelve men. The unseasonably dry weather provided firm ground underfoot, creating ideal racing conditions with little to no mud, much to the delight of the runners. This event marked the second fixture of the Hampshire Cross Country League’s four-race series, where the Harriers demonstrated solid performances against tough competition.
Building on their cross-country momentum, Overton Harriers will now turn their focus to the road as they prepare for the Gosport Half Marathon this Sunday. This upcoming race is the fourth in the twelve-event Hampshire Road Race League series. The Harriers are keen to maintain their strong form and continue making an impact in the league standings as the season progresses.
