A stolen vehicle has been recovered following a traffic collision in Overton.
On Friday at about 17:54 Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary received an emergency phone call about a road traffic collision in Winchester Street, Overton. A white Ford Transit van, registration number CF18 AOW had caused a collision. The stolen van then continued on Winchester St and then turned right onto Batten’s Avenue and then right onto Waltham Rd. The stolen Ford Transit then continued with a flat tyre and wheel damage along Waltham Rd where it came to a stop at the junction of Sprents Lane. The driver fled the scene back toward Winchester St and Greyhound Lane and has not been located.
The stolen van has since been recovered.
