The much-loved Overton Mummers are back this Boxing Day, ready to bring festive cheer, tradition, and entertainment to the village while raising money for a wonderful cause.

This year, the Overton Mummers will perform their time-honoured play at three popular local spots:

  • 12:30pm at the Community Centre
  • 1:00pm at the Old House at Home
  • 2:00pm at the Greyhound

The Greyhound will also host traditional carol singing after the Mummers’ performance, creating the perfect opportunity to come together, sing along, and soak up the festive atmosphere.

Proceeds from the day will go to St. Michael’s Hospice, a vital charity providing specialist care and support to patients and their families.

The Overton Mummers, a local group who keep this centuries-old tradition alive, deliver a unique and lively performance featuring colourful characters, classic tales, and a generous helping of humour. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a newcomer to the tradition, it’s a brilliant way to celebrate Boxing Day with family, friends, and the wider community.

Make sure to join in, enjoy the fun, and support a fantastic cause this Christmas season. For more information, keep an eye on local announcements or simply turn up on the day – you’ll be sure of a warm welcome!
