A friendly local bowls club in Overton is inviting new members to come along and give the sport a try.
St Luke’s Short Mat Bowls Club meets twice a week and is open to people of all ages and abilities. Sessions take place on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:30pm, offering a relaxed and social setting for both beginners and experienced players.
The club is keen to welcome new faces and is offering the first month free to anyone who wants to get involved. There’s no need to worry about equipment either, as loan bowls are available, and coaching can be provided for those who are new to the game.
Organisers say short mat bowls is a great way to stay active, meet new people, and enjoy a bit of friendly competition during the week.
