Roadworks on the B3400 in Overton

OBA: Business as usual

Overton’s business association is reminding people that businesses in the village are open as usual during the B3400 roadworks.

Hampshire County Council drainage improvement works are being carried out along the B3400 High Street area from Dellands Lane to Harvey’s Field.

The junction of Dellands Lane with the B3400 is closed for the entire duration of the three weeks worth of works, but for local traders it’s ‘business as usual’.

The high street area and car parks are still accessible and residents are being encouraged to not be put off by the drainage works and continue using shops, stores and services in the village centre.

The Overton Business Association (OBA) is a volunteer community lead project which “promotes the interests of the local businesses of Overton”. The organisation was set up in 1999.

The OBA has a social event on Wednesday 2nd August at The Red Lion pub, where it’s happy hour’ between 7pm and 9pm. Non-members are invited to come along to meet existing members and enquire about membership benefits.
