A woman in her seventies has died following a serious road traffic collision on Oakley Lane in Oakley.
Emergency services were called to the incident shortly before 7.30pm on Wednesday 14 January. Oakley Lane was closed for several hours while officers dealt with the scene and carried out enquiries. The road has since reopened.
A 41-year-old man from Basingstoke has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, drink driving, and drug driving. He remains in police custody.
Officers have thanked local residents and motorists for their patience during the closure.
Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone who was in the area at the time, or who has dashcam footage that could assist the investigation, is asked to come forward.
