Little Steps Montessori Nursery, based at the Ken Hogan Pavilion in Overton, is set to close at the end of the summer term, bringing decades of care, learning and community support to a close.
Led by Brenda Sampson, the nursery and its earlier forms – including The Children’s House and Little Tots Overton – have supported local families for more than 40 years. Over that time, Brenda and her team have helped guide hundreds of children, many of whom went on to thrive despite facing difficult circumstances in their early years.
To mark the occasion, Brenda is inviting former pupils, parents and friends to come together for a special celebration. The event will recognise 41 years of Montessori education in the village and offer a chance for the community to reflect on the nursery’s lasting impact.
The gathering will take place on Sunday 5th July from 3pm to 6pm at Berrydown Sports Ground, Overton (RG25 3BT). It is expected to be a warm and informal afternoon, with plenty of opportunity to reconnect and share memories.
In a message to the community, Brenda said she would “love to catch up” with those who have been part of the journey, as she prepares to “close our doors for the final time.”
