Carfest is back once again at Laverstoke Park Farm from Friday 25th August to Sunday 27th August. Preparations are already underway with the infrastructure being built.
Exhibitors will be arriving at the site from the 22nd-24th August. The campsite will be open from 4pm-8pm on Thursday for up to 9,000 early ticket holders.
Here is further information to help you plan your weekend:
Friday 25th August
The campsite and caravan site will open at 7am, with car parks opening for day visitors at 11am. The festival site will open at 12pm, with the day ending at 11pm.
Saturday 26th August
Car parks will open for day visitors at 9am, with the festival site opening at 10am. At 5pm, the Overton Car Parade is expected to travel through the village. The day will end at 11pm.
Sunday 27th August
Car parks will open for day visitors at 9am, with the festival site opening at 10am. The day will end at 10.30pm.
Monday 28th August
The campsite will close at 11pm, and exhibitors must vacate the site by 1pm. From 29th August-2nd September the festival infrastructure will be removed.
Bin Collection
The C29 and Berrydown Lane bin collections will take place at 6am on Tuesday and North Waltham bins will be collected on Monday. Please make sure you put your bins out the evening before so as not to miss the collection.
Travel
- Public traffic from the M3, A34 and A303 will directed up the C29 and will enter at Gate D1 or D2. All campervan and caravan ticket holders will arrive via Basingstoke on the B3400, arriving at Berrydown Lane entrance Gate E to the site.
- A temporary speed limit of 30mph will be in place from Monday 14th August to Friday 1st September on the C29 and the South Litchfield Road from 7.00am on Friday 25th through to 1pm on Monday 28th August.
- The narrowest section of the C29 will be one way whilst traffic is entering or leaving the festival. When traffic is arriving it will be one way Northbound. When traffic is leaving it will be one way Southbound.
- Waltham Lane through South Litchfield to Popham Airfield will be Southbound one way at all times during the festival.
Pedestrian Access
- From Overton to Carfest: If you have tickets for CarFest and are wishing to walk to the event during daylight hours, please use the footpath from the junction of Pound Road and Winchester Street. This will be signposted and will take you to the day visitor entrance.
- From Carfest to Overton: On leaving the event, please head to the day visitor exit as directed by the Stewards and Marshalls. At this exit, you will be able to pick up the pedestrian footpath back into Overton which will be illuminated when it is dark. Please be considerate to your local neighbours and keep noise to a minimum. Please give priority to visitors with young children and voters less able to walk.
