Bombay Sapphire applies for permission to host weddings

Bombay Sapphire have put forward plans to host weddings and other events at its venue.

The distillery, located at Laverstoke Mill, has submitted a proposal to the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council for approval.

The application, submitted on Friday, September 13, outlines plans to “provide additional use of the site (as shown in the drawings) for wedding events, complementing the venue’s current offerings.”

If approved, the distillery would be able to host wedding ceremonies in the specific areas detailed in the proposal.

Roderick McDonald, principal conservation officer for Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council has said: “Having reviewed the proposals, no objection is raised given there would be negligible impact upon the significance of the heritage assets by the additional use of the site.”
