The Edward Kersley Playing Field has once again fallen victim to vandals, leaving community leaders and residents frustrated at repeated damage to the much-loved space.
Slats of wood have been ripped from the children’s climbing frame, which has rendered it unsafe to use. The memorial bench, which has already been targeted on previous occasions, has also been damaged once again.

The playing field is maintained by Overton Parish Council.
The incidents come just days before CarFest brings thousands of visitors into the area, with police and councillors urging residents to remain especially vigilant over the weekend. Authorities are calling on anyone who witnesses anti-social behaviour, or has information about those responsible, to contact Hampshire Police on 101.
The Edward Kersley Playing Field has long been at the heart of village life, providing space for children to play and for the community to come together.
