The Rotten Hill Cup Returns to Overton

Football fans and community supporters are gearing up for the Rotten Hill Cup 2026, set to take place on Sunday 3rd May at Overton Recreation Ground, Bridge Street, RG25 3HD.

The day promises action on and off the pitch, starting with gates opening at 12:00pm. Young footballers will show their skills in the Junior Rotten Hill Cup at 1:00pm, followed by the main Rotten Hill Cup match at 3:00pm.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of refreshments, including Yum Yum and Redfort food stalls, while a bar will be open for drinks. The festivities continue into the evening with a live band and disco, making it a full day of fun for families and friends.

Overton Radio will be providing live commentary on our sister station Overton Radio 2.

Tickets are priced at £6 for adults, £2 for children under 18 and seniors, or £12 for a family ticket (2 adults + 2 children). They are available from the ORC, Whitchurch Sports & Social Club, and Overton Gallery, with online tickets released closer to the event via the official Facebook page.

Parking is not available on-site, so attendees are encouraged to use public transport or park considerately nearby.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Overton United Football Club, Whitchurch United Football Club, and two local charities, ensuring that everyone who joins the fun is helping to support a great cause.

It’s a perfect opportunity to enjoy football, music, food, and community spirit—just don’t forget your dancing shoes for the evening disco!
