Strong Turnout for Town Meadow Golf Club Challenge Cup

There was another excellent turnout at Town Meadow Golf Club on Sunday morning for the latest Challenge Cup competition, with players enjoying a competitive round and plenty of success stories across the course.

Congratulations go to Neil Butler (left), who produced an outstanding performance to take top honours with a superb 64 gross, giving him a net 51 score — three under par in the strokeplay competition.

There was also success in the nearest-the-pin contests, with Graham Bond claiming the prize on hole three, while Peter came out on top on hole six with some fine accuracy on the greens.

Meanwhile, Graham Steele celebrated a little extra luck off the course, making it back-to-back raffle wins in what is becoming an impressive streak.

Club organisers said it was fantastic to see some new faces taking part in today’s event and thanked everyone for another great morning of golf. They also said they are looking forward to welcoming even more members for the club’s next competition on 7 June.
