Roadworks at Whitchurch Square to Cause Bus Diversions and One-Way Traffic

Commuters and local residents are being warned of traffic changes around Whitchurch Square as scaffolding works begin at The White Hart. The works are expected to continue until approximately Sunday 12th October.

During this period, London Road and Newbury Street will operate as one-way streets towards the Square, affecting local traffic flow.

Bus services will also be impacted: Service 76 towards Overton and Basingstoke, and Service 86 towards Oakley, will be diverted along Bell Street, past the railway station, through Lynch Hill Park, and rejoin the B3400 at The Gables. Passengers should note that London Road bus stops heading towards Basingstoke will not be served during the works.

Buses towards Andover and Winchester will continue to run normally, authorities confirmed.

Commuters are advised to plan extra travel time and exercise patience while the works are completed.
