Hampshire County Council has announced that Red Lion Lane will be temporarily closed to allow Southern Water to carry out essential repair works on a leaking pipe.
The closure will affect the section of Red Lion Lane between its junctions with Greyhound Lane and Lion Close. An alternative route will be in place via Greyhound Lane, Winchester Street, and the B3400.
The order is effective from 12th January 2026 for up to six months, though the closure is expected to last no more than five days and will operate 24 hours a day during that time.
Southern Water will ensure access for residents and businesses affected by the works and will provide advance notice to those directly impacted.
