Residents of Overton are being urged to roll up their sleeves and get involved in a community litter pick taking place on Sunday 18th May, organised by the Overton Village Tidy Group.
The clean-up operation will run from 2pm to 4pm, with volunteers asked to meet in the forecourt of St. Luke’s Hall. Litter pickers will be available to borrow on the day, though participants are encouraged to bring their own if they have one. Suitable clothing and sturdy footwear are also recommended—this isn’t a job for your Sunday best!
The event is part of a renewed drive by the Overton Village Tidy Group to enhance the look and feel of the area. Looking beyond May, the group plans to meet every second Wednesday of the month in the afternoon, taking on a variety of activities all aimed at making the village an even more attractive and welcoming place to live.
Whether you’re a long-time local or a new face in the village, everyone is welcome to join in. For more information or to get involved with future events, you can contact Ian Elkins via email at:
