Overton United continued their strong run of form with a solid 3-1 victory over Rushmoor Community under the floodlights at Bridge Street.
The match was evenly contested in the first half, with both sides failing to break the deadlock before the interval. However, the second half saw Overton step up a gear, with Adam Hargood leading the charge.
Hargood opened the scoring in the 51st minute with a clinical finish before doubling his tally just 14 minutes later, giving Overton a comfortable lead. Rushmoor threatened a comeback when they pulled a goal back in the 75th minute, but Ryan Alexander sealed the victory with a well-taken strike in the 82nd minute.
With another three points secured, Overton now turn their attention to another crucial fixture, as they prepare to welcome Upham to Bridge Street this Saturday. The big games keep coming, and Overton will be eager to keep their momentum going.
