Overton United Return to Winning Ways After Late Win at Bridge Street

Overton United returned to winning form on Saturday with a 2–1 home win over Whiteley Wanderers at Bridge Street.

United took the lead early in the second half when Adam Hargood scored on 48 minutes, giving the hosts a deserved advantage after a solid opening spell.

Whiteley Wanderers hit back on 76 minutes with an equaliser that raised the tension inside the ground and set up a lively finish.

The winning moment came five minutes from time. Louis Wilson found the net on 85 minutes to restore United’s lead and secure all three points.

The result means Overton United go into the Christmas break sitting top of the league, ending the year on a high and keeping momentum firmly on their side.
