Overton United Reserves climbed to joint top of the league after a thrilling 3–2 victory away to Woking United Sports Club.
Louis “Mad Dog” McCann opened the scoring before Jamie Smith doubled the lead. Woking battled back to level the match at 2–2, setting up a tense finale. But Ash Elward sealed the win for Overton with a dramatic strike in the dying moments, sending the travelling supporters wild.
The result keeps Overton’s title hopes very much alive. They’ll look to extend their run when they return to Berrydown next Saturday for a 2pm kick-off against bottom side Wey Valley FC.
