It’s that time of year again – Overton’s much-loved Fireworks Night is back at Overton Primary School tonight, promising an evening full of colour, warmth, and community spirit. The event is being organised by the Overton School Association, and hosted by Overton Radio’s own Rob Francis, Kevin Ridgeon and Vikki Fox, who’ll be keeping everyone entertained throughout the evening.

Timings for the night:

  • 5:00pm: Gates open – stalls and vendors ready to serve.
  • 6:00pm (approx.): The big fireworks display begins!
  • 7:00pm: Site closes.

All payments across the event are card only.

This year’s display will be started by the school’s Head Ambassadors, Sam and Charlie, who’ll have the honour of lighting up the night sky.

Before the fireworks, visitors can enjoy plenty of food and drink options:

  • BBQ with burgers and hotdogs, including vegetarian and vegan options.
  • Bar serving alcoholic and soft drinks, plus seasonal mulled wine.
  • Refreshments with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and a tempting selection of cakes.
  • Tuck & Glow stall offering sweets, toffee apples, and LED glow batons.

Safety remains the top priority:

  • First Aiders are on duty on the playground.

After the display, visitors are reminded that exits are located by the main playground and on either side of the nursery building. Please take care moving around the site as lighting will be limited.
