Overton United are through to the next round of the Hampshire Saturday Trophy after a hard-fought 1–0 win over Moneyfields FC at Bridge Street.
The decisive moment came early, with Dan Schofield striking in the 8th minute to give Overton the lead — a goal that proved enough to see them through. Despite late pressure from Moneyfields, the home side held firm to secure the victory and keep their cup hopes alive.
Next up, Overton turn their attention to the George Mason Memorial Shield, where they’ll face Twenty Ten FC in the first round. The match kicks off at 3pm next Saturday at Bridge Street.
Another big test awaits — but after this solid cup performance, Overton will go into it brimming with confidence.
