Imagine a sea of white-clad runners, each participant a blank canvas ready to be splashed with vibrant hues. As the starting signal sounds, they set off, eager and energized. This is not your typical race; this is a Colour Run, where the goal is less about speed and more about the celebration of life, health, and happiness.
Over 75 children and adults took part in the very first colour run organised by Overton Cricket Club and GT Sports Academy at the Overton Recreation Centre on Friday 26th July to raise money for local causes. The event began with a warm-up session hosted by James McCallion from JM Transformations, before the race began. 4 laps of the ORC ground followed, with everyone throwing coloured powder around the ground!
Overton Radio’s Rob Francis was there to capture the event, and got covered himself!!
