Play areas in Overton are set to benefit from new investment after Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council completed a review of playgrounds across the borough.
The council says it is targeting funding at sites where improvements are needed most – and several parks in Overton are included in the programme.
Work is being delivered in phases, with the full scheme reviewed on a regular basis to make sure priorities remain up to date.
New play equipment is already being installed at the Two Gate Lane play area, with fresh facilities on the way for Overton Hill next.
The council’s refurbishment programme aims to improve the quality, safety and accessibility of local play spaces for children and families.
