Overton Parish Council is inviting landowners to put forward potential sites for future development as part of the review of the Overton Neighbourhood Development Plan.
The Call for Sites is an early stage in the plan review process and is a required part of the work being undertaken by the Parish Council. It gives landowners the opportunity to identify land that could potentially be considered for development in the future.
Submitting a site does not mean that development will take place, or that a site will ultimately be considered suitable. Instead, the process is intended to build a clearer picture of the land available and identify any issues or constraints that could affect its suitability.
Landowners submitting sites are asked to provide detailed information about a range of factors, including trees, landscape and ecological features, flood risk, public rights of way, heritage and conservation, access and highways, and the availability of infrastructure such as water, electricity and sewerage.
Information is also being sought on green infrastructure and Local Green Space, as well as existing land uses and the planning history of each site.
The Call for Sites is therefore an important early step in understanding where future development might potentially be proposed, while also identifying the environmental, infrastructure and other constraints that would need to be considered.

The Neighbourhood Development Plan review will help shape planning policy for Overton and the surrounding area, with further stages of consultation and assessment to follow as the review progresses.
