An Overton man has been ordered to pay more than £600 after admitting to fly-tipping household waste on land off Sapley Lane.
Daryl Collins, 36, of Pond Close, appeared in court on September 1 where he pleaded guilty to depositing controlled waste without an environmental permit.
The court was told that on June 24, 2024, Collins left a large quantity of rubbish, including cardboard boxes, children’s play equipment, make-up, white goods and other household waste.
Magistrates imposed a community order requiring Collins to attend 12 mental health treatment sessions over a six-month period.
He was also ordered to pay £610 in compensation, costs and a victim surcharge, with the amount to be recovered through deductions from his benefits. The full sum must be paid by October 1, 2025.
