Overton Dramatic Society Announces Next Production: Wizard of Oz – The Panto!

The Overton Dramatic Society has revealed that its next production will be Wizard of Oz – The Panto!, bringing a magical adventure packed with music, comedy and familiar characters to the village stage.

Co-directors Kate Llewellyn and Alice Ellingham will lead the production, which promises a lively mix of modern hits and classic songs alongside the much-loved story of Dorothy’s journey along the Yellow Brick Road.

The society is now inviting anyone interested in taking part to attend an introductory evening and script read-through later this month. Organisers say the production is open to both experienced performers and those considering stepping onto the stage for the very first time.

The introduction and script read-through will take place on Tuesday, 23 June, from 7.45pm to 9.45pm at the Overton Recreation Centre on Bridge Street.

The opportunity is open to anyone aged 16 and over.

Members of the society are encouraging local residents to come along, meet the production team, learn more about the show and discover how they can become part of the cast and crew for what is expected to be a fun-filled community production.
