New microbrewery in Overton: Show your support

Residents are being asked for their comments on plans to turn what used to be Hobbs into a microbrewery.

Ben and Becky Benton, who are behind the proposed new business, have applied for a change of use of the former hairdressers into a brewery, which will include an eating and drinking establishment and associated internal refurbishment works. They also plan to install and enlarge the replacement rear doors, and make alterations to the step at the rear of the property to provide wheelchair access, the replacement of front shop windows, painting of company brand name on facades, removal of existing outside toilet, the erection of asingle storey outbuilding to the rear for use as a microbrewery, and the erection of a new pergola and landscaping works.

The application was submitted last near, but now the the owners are requesting that residents submit their comments on the proposals to get the application through the final stages.
