Lordsfield Swimming Club has received a major boost after being donated a brand new defibrillator by one of its dedicated volunteers.
The life-saving equipment will be made available for the whole village to access all year round, providing an important addition to local emergency response facilities.
The club says the donation is an “incredibly generous gift” to the community and is now appealing for help from any qualified local electricians who may be willing to install the unit.
Once fitted, the defibrillator will be available as a vital public resource, helping to improve access to emergency medical equipment for residents and visitors.
A spokesperson for the club said: “We are hugely grateful to our volunteer for this fantastic donation. It will make a real difference to the village, and we’re now hoping someone in our community can help us get it installed and ready for use.”
Any electricians who are able to assist are asked to get in touch by emailing volunteers@overtonswim.org.uk.
Residents can also view a full list of defibrillator locations across the village by visiting Overton Radio’s community page at https://overtonradio.com/community/defibrilators/.
