It was a mixed bag for Overton United’s Sunday football teams this weekend. The Overton United Sunday side played out a 3-3 draw against Station Athletic, with Louis McCann netting twice and Richard Sopp adding another. Their next challenge is an away trip to face Andover Ravens.
The Vets faced disappointment, exiting the Mike Parker Trophy in the first round with a 2-1 loss to Ropley Vets at Bridge Street. Tom Pemberton scored the only goal for Overton. The two sides will meet again next Sunday in a league fixture at Ropley.
There are no midweek home games next week, as the U23s travel to Portsmouth on Thursday to play Baffins Milton Rovers U23s.
