There are plans for the former Methodist Church site on Winchester Street to be converted into a nursery school.
The Methodist Church was closed in 2022. Since then, the site has been vacant. A planning application has been submitted to Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council for a change of use from a church to a children’s day nursery. The planning application also mentions “demolition of part of the structure to turn into gardens”
