From 17th July for approximately 3 weeks the B3400 will be closed adjacent to Harveys Field in Overton for drainage works to be carried out.
Working times will be Mondays to Fridays between 0900 and 1500 during the first week (to allow Testbourne School buses full access) and between 0900 and 1600 in subsequent weeks.
During these periods buses will be unable to serve any stops between London Road, Whitchurch and Overton Community Centre in either direction. There will be no buses stopping at Wells in the Field, Freefolk or Laverstoke (Bombay Sapphire) at all between the stated times.
Stagecoach have told Overton Radio this morning that buses will be stopping at Turnpike Cottages (halfway up Overton Hill).
Buses which normally operate between Basingstoke and Andover will divert after Wickes via the A303 and A34 to rejoin normal route at the Fire Station in Whitchurch. Buses towards Basingstoke will use the same diversion in reverse.
Buses which normally operate between Basingstoke and Whitchurch will run as far as Overton, turning via Station Road and Kingsclere Road to start their return journey at a temporary stop in Kingsclere Road just a short walk from the village centre. They will then return to Basingstoke on normal route.
The only service 86 to serve points beyond Whitchurch between these times will be the 1450 from Winchester during week commencing 17th July only, for the benefit of Testbourne pupils.
