Overton Radio has had an incredible 12 months, and it's been a true privilege to share all the exciting moments and stories from our village with you.
This Saturday, Overton will come alive with festive cheer as Father Christmas joins Overton Youth FC for a magical tour of the village. Starting at 5pm, Father Christmas and his merry entourage will set off on an enchanting journey, spreading holiday spirit and raising funds for the club.
The festive procession begins at Overton Hill, making its way to Boathouse Meadow. The first major stop will be at the community centre bus stop, a perfect meeting point for families to gather, snap photos, and rest the Elves’ legs.
From there, the route continues through Woodlands and up Sapley Lane before heading down Winchester Street, where Father Christmas will stop again for more photo opportunities. The journey concludes at Berrydown, via The Green.
Overton Youth FC hopes to see as many villagers as possible during the tour. Look out for their donation pots along the way – any contributions will go toward supporting the club’s initiatives and future activities.
