Residents are being advised that the Community Centre car park in Overton will be closed for more than a week next month to allow for essential maintenance work and preparations for this year’s Overton Music Festival.
The closure will begin at 10pm on Sunday, June 7, and will remain in place until 9am on Monday, June 15.
During this time, contractors will carry out car park relining works, helping to improve parking layouts and refresh road markings across the site. Once the work is complete, the space will then be used to host the Overton Music Festival, one of the village’s biggest annual community events.
The temporary closure means those using the Community Centre will need to make alternative parking arrangements throughout the week-long period, and residents are being asked not to leave vehicles in the car park after the 10pm closure deadline on June 7.
The relining work is expected to improve access and make parking clearer and safer for visitors using the Community Centre in the future.
