A lively night of stand-up comedy is coming to Overton next month, with a community comedy night taking place on Friday 13th March, promising a relaxed, friendly evening of laughs for local residents.
The event will be hosted by Overton Radio and will take place at the Overton Community Centre, which has become a popular venue for live events and community get-togethers.
Doors will open at 7pm, with the comedy starting at 7.30pm. Organisers say the evening is designed to be informal and welcoming, making it ideal for anyone who enjoys live entertainment or simply wants a fun night out close to home.
Tickets are priced at just £2 in advance, making the event accessible to as many people as possible. Advance tickets can be bought from Overton Gallery, or you can pay £3 on the door on the night.
A licensed bar will be available throughout the evening, so audiences can relax, enjoy a drink and support the performers in a comfortable, social setting.
As well as planned comedy acts, the night will also include open mic slots, giving local performers the chance to take to the stage. Anyone interested in performing is encouraged to get in touch in advance.
For more information about open mic opportunities, contact Steve Williams by email at stewill@icloud.com or by phone on 07966 921584.
Organisers say the aim of the evening is not only to entertain, but also to create a space where local talent can be discovered and supported, while bringing people together for a shared night of laughter.
With low-cost tickets, a welcoming venue and a mix of performers, the comedy night is expected to be a popular addition to Overton’s growing programme of community events.
