Budapest Cafe Orchestra Set to Enchant Overton with Gypsy-Flavoured Magic

Overton is in for a musical treat this May as the Budapest Cafe Orchestra makes its much-anticipated return, bringing their signature blend of folk and gypsy-inspired melodies to the village. The acclaimed quartet will perform at St. Mary’s Church on Saturday, 10 May, promising an evening of toe-tapping tunes, heartfelt melodies, and a touch of humour.

Renowned for their unique ability to take well-loved melodies and transform them into something entirely fresh, the Budapest Cafe Orchestra is a masterclass in musical reimagination. Their performances are a seamless blend of virtuosity and entertainment, ensuring both laughter and the occasional tear from their audiences.

The ensemble features violin virtuoso Christian Garrick, accordion maestro Eddie Hession, double bass legend Kelly Cantlon, and local guitar aficionado Adrian Zolotuhin. With a reputation for delivering spellbinding performances, the group is expected to bring the house down with their impeccable musicianship and infectious energy.

Sean Rafferty of BBC Radio 3 has praised them, saying, “The music is magic in their hands,” and Overton audiences will soon see why.

A Local Flavour to the Evening

Supporting the Budapest Cafe Orchestra on the night will be Overton’s own Imperial Balalaika Orchestra, a spirited group of young musicians dedicated to preserving the rich traditions of Slavic folk music. This homegrown ensemble brings the unique sounds of balalaikas, domras, and accordions to the rolling hills of Northern Khempshire, ensuring a fittingly vibrant opening act.

With world-class musicianship and a performance filled with warmth, wit, and wonder, this is a night not to be missed. Tickets are available now at buytickets.at/azproductions/1621994.

🎶 Prepare for an evening where music knows no borders and every note tells a story!
