A new Alpha Course is set to begin in Overton next month, offering local people the chance to explore Christian faith in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
The course starts on Thursday 26th February and will run on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm at Stanley’s Coffee Shop in the village. Alpha is designed for anyone who is curious about faith, has questions about life, or simply wants a space to talk and listen without pressure.
Each session is informal and friendly, with time to chat, ask questions, and meet new people. There will also be cake, which may be reason enough on its own. No prior knowledge or church background is needed, and there’s no obligation to keep coming if it’s not for you.
Organisers say Alpha is about creating a safe space to explore big ideas like meaning, hope, and belief, while enjoying good company along the way. People are welcome to come along, try a session, and see if it feels right.
