Families are invited to enjoy an afternoon of fun, creativity and nature this Friday at the Community Kitchen Garden, located behind the Redfort restaurant.

The Children’s Activity Afternoon will take place from 2pm until 4pm and will offer a range of hands-on activities designed to entertain and educate young visitors.

Children will have the opportunity to paint flowerpots and pebbles, learn about beetles and other garden insects, and help create a bug hotel to provide a safe home for wildlife in the garden.

Organisers say the painting activities will be held under a gazebo, providing shade and shelter throughout the afternoon.

The event is aimed at children of all ages, although organisers have stressed that all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

A spokesperson for the event said: “We are looking forward to welcoming families to the garden for a fun afternoon of creativity and discovery. It’s a great opportunity for children to learn more about nature while getting involved in practical activities.”

There is no charge to attend, although voluntary donations will be welcomed to help support the Community Kitchen Garden and future events.

The event takes place on Friday from 2pm to 4pm at the Community Kitchen Garden behind the Red Fort restaurant.
