A heartbreaking incident unfolded on Overton High Street last night as one of the village’s beloved ducks was struck and killed by a speeding driver. The incident, which occurred around 6 PM across from the Overton Gallery, was witnessed by a mother and her two young daughters—leaving them deeply distressed.
Overton Radio’s Sam Carrington arrived swiftly at the scene to assist, but the duck had sadly already passed. The bird has since been moved out of sight, but the tragedy serves as yet another reminder of the dangers posed by reckless driving through the village.
