It was a great day at the office for Overton United, as they thumped QK Southampton to go second in Hampshire Premier Football League Division One.
Alfie Clark scored two goals on his debut, and there were goals from Kieran Maylen, Owen Slynn, Jake Burton-Pye, Colby Craig and Grant Powell, as United romped to a 7-0 victory.
Manager Louis Macey spoke after the game: “I thought we controlled the game. A few sketchy moments first half but second half the lads responded a lot a better and to win 7-0 is a reward for their hard work this pre season and in training”.
United will return to training this week, before travelling to Hayling Island next Saturday.
