The Red Lion will be opening its doors a little earlier than usual this Friday, welcoming customers from 11am for coffee, cake, and a cause close to many hearts.
The pub will be donating 25% of takings from the morning to Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that has recently provided invaluable help to the landlord’s grandmother, as well as to much-missed regulars who are no longer with us.
Pub regular “Ginster”, will be stepping up to the plate (quite literally) by baking a Date and Walnut Cake for the event.
Customers are warmly invited not only to come along and enjoy the refreshments but also to join in the spirit of giving by donating a homemade cake. Every slice sold will go directly towards raising funds for Macmillan, helping the charity continue its exceptional work supporting families affected by cancer.
The Red Lion team is encouraging locals to drop in, share a brew, and raise a slice to those who mean the most.
