The Greyhound Set to Host Eco-Themed Summer Party for Local Families

Families in Overton are invited to enjoy a buzzing afternoon of fun, creativity, and eco-friendly entertainment as the Greyhound gears up for its eagerly anticipated Summer Party on Saturday 2nd August.

Running from 3pm to 5pm, the event promises to be a lively celebration of storytelling, craft, and nature – with a sustainable twist. Headlining the festivities is the award-winning children’s entertainer Junk Jodie, who, alongside her insect sidekick Bobby Bee, will lead an imaginative journey through gardens, bugs, and recycled magic.

Children can expect to meet colourful characters such as Grayson Grasshopper and Betsy Butterfly, all brought to life through Junk Jodie’s signature mix of interactive storytelling and upcycled creativity. From singalongs and dancing to hands-on craft activities, little ones will be encouraged to turn everyday rubbish into brilliant, reusable toys – all while learning about sustainability in a fun and engaging way.

Every child ticket includes access to all activities, a packed lunch, arts and crafts, face painting, and even the chance to create their very own Bobby Bee to take home.

Tickets are priced at £6 per child or £20 for a group of four, with adults admitted free of charge. Organisers are reminding parents and guardians that children must be supervised at all times.

With demand expected to be high, families are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.
