St Mary’s, Overton Light Party is Back!

After a fantastic turnout last year, St Mary’s Church in Overton is thrilled to announce the return of its much-loved Light Party on Friday, 31st October from 4.30pm-6.30pm, taking place in the welcoming Church Rooms.

This family-friendly event promises an evening packed with fun, creativity, and community spirit. Children and adults alike can enjoy dancing, games, arts and crafts, delicious food, and the chance to dress up in their favourite costumes. Whether you’re a tiny tot testing out your dance moves, a budding artist keen to get creative with crafts, or a family looking to share some wholesome seasonal fun, there’s something for everyone.

Understanding that sometimes all the excitement can be a little overwhelming, the organisers have thoughtfully included a quiet room. This calm space provides a safe haven for children who need a short break from the action, ensuring that everyone has a positive and enjoyable experience.

Tickets are completely free, but to help organisers manage the event safely, all children must be booked in advance and accompanied by an adult. Families are encouraged to reserve their places early to avoid disappointment. Booking is simple and can be done through Eventbrite.

The Light Party is more than just a night of fun—it’s an opportunity for the community to come together, celebrate creativity, and enjoy a safe, wholesome alternative to traditional Halloween events. St Mary’s invites everyone in the area to join the celebration, meet neighbours, make memories, and enjoy a night full of laughter and light.

Don’t miss out on this exciting community event! Mark your calendars for Friday, 31st October, and prepare for an evening of festive fun that your family won’t forget.
