Overton Youth FC has confirmed the route for this year’s Santa Float, which will take to the streets on Saturday 13 December. The annual event will begin in Berrydown at 5pm and will wind its way through the village, bringing plenty of cheer and a healthy dose of jingling bells.
The club will raise money on the night and will take both cash and card donations. Supporters can track Santa in real time through a live map at www.drivepro.io/santaTracker/Overton, which should help anyone keen to step outside at the right moment.
All times remain approximate, but the planned route is as follows:
- 5:00pm – Berrydown
- 5:15pm – Boathouse Meadow
- 5:45–6:15pm – Community Centre (30-minute stop)
- 6:35pm – Sapley Lane Playing Fields
- 7:15pm – The Greyhound
- 7:30pm – The Green
Residents whose roads are not on the route can meet the float at the Community Centre during the scheduled stop. The club hopes for a strong turnout and a bright, festive evening for the village.
