There’s plenty of rugby action to look forward to at Oddball Lane this Saturday — even if the original plan has changed.
Overton 1st XV were due to be in cup action against Aldermaston, but their opponents have conceded the match, handing Overton a win by default. However, the home side isn’t letting that stop their weekend of rugby.
Instead, Overton will take to the field in a friendly and development fixture against Basingstoke 3rd XV. It’s a great chance for players to get some game time and for the crowd to enjoy some competitive action.
Kick-off is at 3pm at Oddball Lane — expect good rugby, local spirit, and maybe a pint or two on the sidelines.
