Red Lion Lane will be closed to traffic on Tuesday, 30 September, to allow the removal of two trees that have been identified as a safety concern.
The closure means that the local bus service 740 will not be able to operate its usual Tuesday route, as some of its regular stops will be inaccessible.
To minimise disruption, the 740 service will instead run on Monday, 29 September, for next week only.
Local councillors joined passengers onboard the bus today to explain the changes in person and ensure that regular users are aware of the temporary switch.
Residents are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for travel.
