Overton United Veterans produced a dominant display at Bridge Street on Sunday, sweeping aside Headley Vets with a convincing 4–0 victory.
A brace from Gavin Jones set the tone for the hosts, with Tom Pemberton and Carl Bates also getting on the scoresheet to seal the points.
Headley’s afternoon went from bad to worse as they were reduced to eight men, with three red cards shown in the second half. Overton took full advantage, controlling possession and carving out chances with ease.
The result leaves Overton sitting second in the Farnham League Division One table after two matches. Attention now turns to cup action, with a home tie against Wokingham Town Vets on Sunday, September 28th at Bridge Street (10am kick-off).
Overton United Veterans are proudly sponsored by Overton Radio and The Red Lion.
