It’s a huge weekend for Overton United, with three massive matches in four days that could see silverware won and promotion secured.
It all kicks off tonight as Overton United Reserves face Oakridge Nomads in the final of the North Hants May Cup. The match takes place at Longmeadow in Whitchurch, with a 7.30pm kick-off under the lights. The Reserves have shown real grit this season, and tonight they have the chance to top it all off with a trophy.
On Saturday, all eyes turn to Bridge Street as Overton United’s first team take on Crofton Saints in a decisive clash in the Hampshire Premier League Division. A win would mean promotion to the Senior Division—a major milestone for the club. Kick-off is at 3pm, but fans can tune in to Overton Radio from 2pm for live commentary, interviews, and build-up from the ground.
Then on Sunday, it’s the Sunday side’s turn to chase glory as they play in the Junior Challenge Cup Final against Pals FC Reserves. The match kicks off at 1pm at the Portway Stadium in Andover. With energy high and momentum on their side, the team will be looking to bring home yet another trophy.
